Madinatul Ilm — Calgary

Arabic Classes for Kids

Reading, writing, and grammar — at a Shia Islamic Saturday school in southeast Calgary, for grades 1–12.

Madinatul Ilm School offers Arabic classes for kids in Calgary — the language of the Quran — in a clear, simplified method designed for children and youth growing up in the West. Students begin with letters and their sounds, move on to reading with harakat, writing, and dictation, and grow into simple grammar and reading short stories.

No prior Arabic is needed — we start from the alphabet, and children who already speak Arabic at home are placed at a level that keeps them growing. Our Arabic is taught to unlock the Quran: vocabulary, phrases, and grammar are drawn from the suras and duas children learn the same Saturday, so language and faith reinforce each other instead of sitting in separate boxes.
