If you're looking for a Shia school in Calgary for your children, Madinatul Ilm is a Shia (Twelver / Ithna Ashari) Islamic Saturday school in the southeast of the city, part of Al Zahra Learning Center. We teach Arabic language, Quran, and Islamic studies for grades 1 to 12, in the way of the Prophet Muhammad (s) and his purified Ahlul Bayt (a.s.).
Why a Shia school?
We teach aqeedah, fiqh, and akhlaq in the Twelver (Ithna Ashari) tradition, so children learn their faith from its authentic sources and grow up confident in their identity and belief while living in Canada. Students also pray salah in congregation every school day.
We meet on Saturdays
